🎲 Welcome to Red Deer’s Most Chaotic Board Game Table 🎉

Once upon a time (July 15th, to be precise), Red Deer had no board game Meetup.
Toronto had them. Calgary had them. Edmonton had them. But Red Deer? Nothing.
A barren wasteland of dice-less despair.

So we did the only logical thing: we started one.

I started this group hoping to find my “meeples” (yes, terrible board game pun — you’ve been warned).

Fast forward to February 10th, 2026, and things have escalated beautifully:

• 🎲 28 official meetups at Wizard’s Loft
• 🏚️ 2 Mansions of Madness nights at Mel’s
• ⚡ Two Power Grid nights at John P.’s house
• 🎃 A Halloween party
• 🎄 A Christmas party
• 🎉 A New Year’s Eve party
• 🏈 A Super Bowl party
• 🏒 A Calgary Flames vs. Winnipeg Jets hockey night
• ⚔️ A growing RPG group
• 🤝 And a community of 50 players and counting!

Somehow, along the way, a board game night turned into an actual community.
Like… real friendships. On purpose. Repeatedly. We have built a social group that keeps finding excuses to hang out even when no one is rolling dice.

We’ve also witnessed events history will never fully explain, including but not limited to:

• 🐫 Watched camels unionize.
• 🔮 Survived ghosts and interpretive ballet in Mansions of Madness.
• 🚆 Accidentally turned Ticket to Ride into emotional damage on rails.
• 🍣 Been terrorized by the infamous Sushi Go Bandits.
• 🔫 Turned Bang! The Dice Game into a public execution by dice.
• 🎲 Watched Roll For It devolve into Vegas without cocktails.
• 🏛️ Witnessed The Jeffening — a score so cursed it broke mathematics itself.
• 👵 And yes, even Betty White has allegedly been sighted (unconfirmed).

🕖 7:00 PM at Wizard’s Loft Café.

We’ve tried scheduling during holidays. We tried scheduling while they were closed for inventory. We were politely told “absolutely not,” which honestly just strengthened our resolve.

💲The Wizard’s Loft Table Fee (Important but Funny)

Wizard’s Loft charges a $7 table fee for unlimited gameplay (which is an absurdly good deal).

As a courtesy, your first FIVE events are covered.

After that…well… once we’ve confirmed you’re fully addicted to the cardboard crack,
the illusion of control is gone, and you’re emotionally prepared to sell a family heirloom for one more round of Clank, we gently let you handle your own $7. It’s a growth moment for all of us.

So if you’ve been searching for your meeples, your tribe, your cult of cardboard chaos… you’ve found it.

Pull up a chair. Bring a game (or don’t). Prepare to laugh, scheme, backstab, and occasionally fail so hard you accidentally become a legend.
