Red Thread Circle is a time to connect in sisterhood, share our stories, and name intentions. It is a sacred time for being heard as well as being the honored witness. Confidentiality and Sovereignty are 2 key components of being together.
We pass the ball of red yarn around the circle, each woman given space to share. The red thread signifies our connection to the Great Mother who birthed us all. We are held in safety and nurturance, part of a lineage of wisdom, while listening attentively to each sister.
The second pass around is when we cut our piece of the thread. When each of us focuses on taking care of our piece, it strengthens the whole weave. We are not here to 'fix' one another, but to witness our struggles and give thanks for the beauty in our lives.

February theme is around Planting the Seeds of Love. In the art journal project we will create a Love letter to Self, and creatively shift that into seeds for growing in gratitude. This is a crafty project for getting your fingers wet.
Supplies:

  • Art Journal or water color paper of medium thickness
  • Plain white paper/ standard copy paper
  • Colored pens - water based (Pentel are my favorite)
  • Wax crayons - several colors
  • Scissors
  • Mod-Podge or glue
  • Paint brush
  • Glue brush
  • Water and paper towels

It's important to gather your supplies before circle begins. Have your space ready with enough room to do the art project. Maybe set up a little altar with a candle, red thread (we use yarn), scissors, and a cuppa tea or beverage of your choice.

We do the Art in order to shift our awareness and perceptions. Tuning into our creativity as a way of playing that helps us break free of restrictions. Get messy and have fun!

Hope to see you here on Sunday, February 15th
Big Love,
Katy
