What we’re about
It all began with a concern. Our founding pastor saw that the diverse area of Southwest Houston was largely devoid of Biblical and gospel-centered churches. The unfortunate result: people were not being spiritually fed with the truth. So in 2016, Redeemer’s Love Houston was planted in response to this need.
Today, we seek to be Biblical in everything we do by conforming our doctrine, worship, preaching, and counseling to God’s Word. In 2018, God blessed us with Spencer Simpson as he assumed the role of Senior Pastor alongside David Mathew our Associate Pastor. Since then we have focused on developing a core group of local believers as we seek to be a growing light for Christ in the area. That light starts with the gospel.
We understand the gospel to be the good news that we are saved by faith alone in Christ alone from the consequences of our sin, because of Christ’s life and His work on the cross, where He both defeated death and bore the wrath of God for us.
It’s our prayer that all would come to believe this truth! Together, and by the will of God, Southwest Houston can be transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
