The Art of Breathing

Details
The Art of Breathing has been a long time coming, a consistent undercurrent in my life the last couple of years, it churned in the deepest waters being refined by curiosity, research, practice, life, and felt experience. The Art of Breathing came as an embodiment of the breathing practices that have sustained me in the highs and the lows, that have been the anchor in the unpredictable waters of life. The safety net I can now cast and find a safe landing space in even as the waves crash around me.
Whether Pranayama (breathwork) is new to you, you are curious about the practice or are a practicing Yogi- I trust that there will be something here for you. We will spend some time covering the following:
- The Yogic history of Pranayama, the subtle energetic body, the Nadis and the physiology behind the felt experience
- Polyvagal Theory- A science-based look at how our nervous system relates to those around us and how Pranayama supports and embodied experience to invite receptivity and connection back to our nervous system and the world around us.
- A Pranayama Experience that encourages innate wisdom, embodiment and discernment to curate a practice that is all your own. Here you are guided to connect with your own inner guide.
- A restorative and integrative Sound Bath guided by my dear friend, Becky Acuna from Serenity Practice. A sure way to integrate the Pranayama practice and a beautiful way to close our time together.
