Thai Buddhist Kathina Ceremony
Details
This Sunday is the annual Thai Buddhist Kathina Ceremony. You don’t need to know anything about Buddhism to come. This is a beautiful multicultural gathering with visiting monks, a joyful offering ceremony, and amazing Thai food shared with everyone afterward.
This is the only time each year IIMC does any fundraising. This year they’re raising money to drill a deeper well so the center can keep thriving. There’s no charge to attend but donations to help fund the well are welcome.

The History of Kathina
This is an annual Thai Buddhist ceremony called Kathina, for monks who have completed their annual rainy season retreat. This event draws the local Thai population and is an opportunity for people to donate to the Insight International Meditation Center in Redmond.

In person meditations are normally every Sunday at 1 pm. IIMC frequently hosts retreats for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday each month.
