Book Club: Let's read smut!

Let's read smut! For this Book Club event, we're all going to read whatever book we want, as long as it's spicy! Could be a book from popular series like Fourth Wing or A Court of Thorns and Roses. Maybe something zany like the hot-for-Minotaur sensation The Morning Glory Milking Farm or the sexy front door titillations of Unhinged. Perhaps a taboo tale like Priest will catch your eye. Milder smut is great too, like the romance-driven Red, White & Royal Blue or The Nightmare Before Kissmas. There's so much smut to choose from! Even classic literature lovers can consider the forbidden pages of Fanny Hill, Oscar Wilde's Teleny or Lady Chatterly's Lover. Have fun and go wild. Whatever you pick, we're going to have fun. No judgement!

The discussion: This event is all about having fun! What do we like about smut? What do we not like? How do bedroom scenes enhance the plot or diminish it? Since many of us are writers, the discussion may have some emphasis on narrative strategy and character development, but it can also be as simple as what glued us to the page and what made us start to skim.

This is all super casual. It's even okay if you don't read the whole thing! It's mostly about hanging out, yummy food, and talkin' books.
