Tempe Writers Workshop

Welcome to the Tempe Writing Workshop!

We meet at McAllisters Deli 715 S Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ 85288

It’s on the north east corner of Rural and University Dr, near ASU.

We are not affiliated with ASU but welcome students and faculty.

Our group runs from 6pm-8pm bi-weekly on Wednesdays.

Attendance is free, but we please ask you purchase something from our gracious hosts at McAllisters Deli.

This is a critique group where we read our works out loud. We utilize constructive criticism to take our writing projects to the next level. If you do not have something to read you are more than welcome to attend!

We welcome all genres of writing as long as they are written by you and not by AI. Writing projects that use AI editing tools such as ProWritingAid are welcome. Writing projects where the AI does the writing for you are not welcome in this group.

Our current word count is 3,000 words. We use a Google Drive folder to share and edit our works. You can access this folder by sending your email address to me via a direct message.

If you prefer to bring paper copies you are more than welcome to! But please make sure to request access to our Google Drive to ensure that you can read and critique what others bring.

Please sign up for each event so we will know who is coming. And please revoke your RSVP if you cant make it.
