Geddes Rock

This is a loop of about 16km, 80% off-track.
* MEDIUM rated = Good level of walking fitness and experience required

According to WalkGPS:
"This walk features a visit to the remote Geddes Rock monadnock (also known as Mount Geddes; elevation approx. 450m) located 6.5km NE of Mount Cooke (elevation 582m). There are some excellent views from Geddes Rock of Mount Cooke and other high points in the Darling Range including distant Mount Dale (29km to NNW; elevation 546m), and also views of Geddes Rock monadnock itself from other vantage points on granite outcrops to the east. The forest is mainly jarrah with some marri and occasional patches of wandoo. The terrain is mainly gentle. Expect a few short sections of scratchy heath around the outcrops."

⚑ Getting there
Meet at Caltex Karragullen, corner of Brookton Hwy and Canning Rd, Karragullen. (The Meetup location map link is spot on.)
Please allow yourself plenty of travel time. It's about 70 minutes from the Perth CBD.

8.00am - meet at the carpark
8.15am - convoy/carpool to the starting point

9.00am - best foot forward, we start walking
Lunch - along the way
4ish - back at the carpark, and up the road to the Naked Apple Cider House for a refreshing beverage

We walk even if it's raining. If the weather is looking very bad, we may cancel and give notice the day before.

NUMBERS ARE LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE, YOUR RSVP IS IMPORTANT. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THAT YOU HAVE A SPOT, using your chosen app or the website - please make sure your notifications are switched on!
If you're listed as Attending when RSVPs close and fail to turn up on the day without letting the Organiser know, you'll be marked as a No Show, and may be removed from this group.
RSVPs close at 5.00pm the night before the walk. If you see a place available after that time, you may text (only) the Organiser and ask to take it.
Note: Meetup Plus members will not be given priority on our Waiting Lists. All members will be treated equally when it comes to available places.

$ Donation
To cover the Meetup subscription fees we'd appreciate $10 or more to help out. (It is not a membership fee, nor does it cover insurance or any other liability. Walkers attend at their own risk.)
