Bibbulmun Track (Intro) Overnighter - Canning Shelter

Details
This event is only for anyone new to overnight hiking … or hasn’t done it in a while
(Please read all the event info before registering for this event esp. RSVPs !)
We’ll be hiking approximately 6km (Saturday) to the Canning shelter on the Bibbulmun Track where we’ll camp for the night (NB tents will be required!).
Our cars will be parked at the start point at a designated area, and the next day (Sunday) we’ll return the same way.
(The total hike length is approximately 12km over the 2 days)
** In order to participate in this overnight hike … it is ESSENTIAL you attend a Planning Meeting on Wednesday evening 27th August @ 7pm (for approximately 90 minutes) to discuss Preparations, Itinerary and Gear requirements etc (inc low cost & hire options) … and any other questions you may have. **👍
(The location of the Planning Meeting will be provided after your registration.)
Also for ease of Communication … your mobile number and email address will be required.
So if you’ve been sitting on the sideline for a while or not had the confidence, this will be a great opportunity for you to experience an overnight hike with some guidance and support.
We’ll help you get organised, pick up some tips to get you started and in a responsible and safer way.

To cover the Meetup subscription fees we'd appreciate $10 or more to help out. (It is not a membership fee, nor does it cover insurance or any other liability. Walkers attend at their own risk.)
Cash on the day is fine, or you can use PayID from your banking app to Mike on 0416 088 024. (How to use PayID ... it's not a scam!).
