Reel Love feat. When Harry Met Sally: The Myth of the "Friend Zone"

Be honest for a sec: can two people who are attracted to each other ever be “just friends”? Or, when the right opportunity presents itself, will they drop the charade and tell each other how they really feel?
​Our theme for the evening, “The Myth of the Friend Zone,” invites you to share your thoughts and stories about how the concepts of platonic friendship and romantic interest can both complement and compete with one another.

​Have you navigated the Friend Zone? Were you been put in it? Have you done it to others? We want to hear from you, give you a chance to get some thoughts off your chest, and share some lighthearted stories with the ReSee community. Because it’s a lot easier to navigate love and heartbreak if you remember to laugh a little 🤍 and laughs are guaranteed with our community screening of When Harry Met Sally (OmU), one of the most iconic rom-coms of all time.

​Reel Love is an event series hosted by ReSee Movies. We screen films that examine the difficulties of modern romance in order to view our own relationships through the lens of cinema, and pair them with activities to give our community members a chance to mingle, reflect, and maybe even meet someone new (and no, it’s not speed dating).
