Reels on Wheels

Like cycling, camping, and movies? Well this is the group for you!

Welcome to Reels on Wheels, the bike camping group with a show! We set a route, a (relatively) local campground, and a screening of a classic film. After setting up camp for the day, we set up a lightweight portable project and screen and put on the show after dusk.

To join is completely free! Routes will generally start in the NYC area, whether directly or via train to the start of the route. These rides are entirely self supported, so please be sure to bring your own camping gear and basic repair equipment/knowledge. These rides are also at your own pace. While we will start as a group, it's not uncommon for faster riders to break off and do their own thing or for other members to slow down and make leisurely stops along the way. At the end of the day, we're all meeting at the same place.
