Resume Workshop with Christine Nathaniel + Coffee & Code - [Online Event]

Refactoring Tech has gone virtual! For the foreseeable future, our talks, panels, and workshops will all be apart of our Refactoring Tech Chats -- online webinars providing our regularly scheduled programming, while giving members the opportunity to connect with members of both groups across the country.

This month we will be talking resumes with Christine Nathaniel, a career coach based out of the Pacific Northwest! You'll learn the dos and don'ts of creating a resume and how you can leverage your experience and technical skills to get the position you want. Feel free to bring your resume if you would like it to be reviewed, whether you are an experienced technologist or if you're looking to switch careers into tech. We will then break into our monthly Coffee & Code.

A bit about Christine: Christine is an HR and technology professional based out of Vancouver, Canada. She’s passionate about everyone having a fair shot at a meaningful career and volunteers as a career coach to immigrants (through MOSAIC) and women (Dress for Success). She has 7 years experience in recruiting and hiring, with a front row seat to what really happens in the room after an interviewee leaves. She also is well versed with career transitions, having moved into HR 5 years ago from marketing and currently in the process of becoming a front end developer.

There will be a live Q&A session at the end of the workshop for questions on the Refactoring Tech Slack Channel.

Make sure to bring your recent projects, and your programming problems and questions, too. If you want to focus on helping others with their projects? You're welcome too! We'll have breakout rooms available for people who want to work privately in small groups as well.
