reflection of Quran (Tadabbur)

Assalamu Aleykum and Hello to everyone,

This is an invitation to all the people of the Sunnah and Jamaa'a as well as the people interested in the Quran and the islamic religion.

Every friday evening at 9 pm CET, those interested meet online to reflect on parts of the Quran as Allah commands us in Surah Mohammed verse 24: "Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Or are there locks upon their hearts?".

Many of us are taught growing up not to think about God and the Quran. Of course we should not engage in assumptions that fall under disbelief (kufr) and idolatry (shirk). Yet, God has emphasized thoughout the Quran (e.g. Surah Mulk or Balad) that he has dignified us with the ability to reason, in order to come to the conclusion of his existence. Refusing to reflect only raises ignorance, distances and weakens us in our faith and doesn't bring value to the world, in fact, it is only harmful.

This is a group for Tadabbur (pondering) rather than Tafsir (interpretation). Most of us will not be scholars, so we don't claim to have the answers of the wisdoms of the Quran. Rather, it is to read deeper into the Quran, as opposed to reading it passively, as well as to try to come closer to understanding the arguments or story morals that are put forward.
