This gathering is for those seeking meaningful connection and a sense of community—without any religious or spiritual affiliation. Together, we take time to pause, reflect, and share.

This month, we will begin with the reading of from Emerson (a preview is posted below but we will also read aloud at the event) followed by a silent meditation. We will then open it up to sharing where you are invited to reflect on the reading or speak about whatever thoughts, experiences, or challenges that have come up for you. (No obligation to speak.)

This is a time to listen to our own inner voice and to one another—without commenting on others' shares and without offering advice. Our intention is to hold space where you can express yourself authentically, be received with compassion, and trust that what you say will not be repeated. What is said here, what is shared here, stays here.

Conducted in English (but open to sharings in Spanish).
Please do not hesitate to contact Elizabeth or Galia with any questions or clarifications.

A preview of this month's reading:

Trust yourself. Every person has an inner voice, and when we listen to it, we come alive. Nothing is more sacred than the integrity of your own mind and heart.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly pressuring you to be something else is a rare and great accomplishment. Society often rewards conformity, but true strength is found in nonconformity — in choosing to live from your own truth, not from the expectations of others.

What truly matters is not what people think of you, but how to be true to yourself, how to live with your own integrity. Each of us carries a unique gift, cultivated through our whole life. If you surrender it to imitation, you only live half a life, borrowed from someone else.

Do not abandon your individuality. Insist on yourself. Trust that what is true in your deepest heart is a truth that belongs to all of humanity. To live from that truth — that is genius.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson (Self-Reliance, adapted and modernized)

P.S. Apologies for the previous group info that is not related to this new group (reviews, old events, etc). I am working with Meetup to update everything.
