About us

Reframe EA. is an independent, vendor neutral community for people who think about how organisations, systems and technology fit together. We believe architecture is a way of thinking that is open to everyone, not a title or a framework.

Our meetups are relaxed evenings where architects and the people who work with them share what is genuinely hard in their day job. Enterprise, business, solution, software and AI architects are all welcome, and so is anyone who makes architecture decisions or is simply curious about them.

A typical evening starts with informal networking, followed by a short talk from a practitioner and an open discussion. Events are held in Hungarian or English, as noted on each event page.

    Registration on Luma: https://luma.com/l0g37ze5

Welcome to the first Reframe EA. - Architecture Community Romania meetup in collaboration with RMKT/HESR Cluj.

The community opens its first chapter in Cluj, bringing together the Romanian architecture communities in business and IT. Reframe EA is an independent, vendor-neutral community where architects of all kinds share everyday challenges, experiences and ideas. Regardless of your architecture role, you are most welcome!
Key topic of this inspiring evening event is how Enterprise Architecture can be applied in business, and how is AI changing the way we practice it.
During the evening, we will combine two professional talks with open discussions and networking. The event is held in English.

TALK 1: An Actionable Approach to Enterprise Architecture by Eric Jager (Netherlands)
    https://www.linkedin.com/in/ej1979/
Eric shows how Enterprise Architecture frameworks can be applied sensibly and realistically, without sticking rigidly to theory. He introduces the Enterprise Architecture Implementation Wheel, a simplified, iterative method grounded in the TOGAF® Standard that works for organisations of any size. Through a practical case study of a fictional company, he demonstrates how the approach turns strategy into measurable outcomes and supports continuous improvement. He also shows how the Wheel can be augmented by AI, with a live example of using AI to develop a small piece of architecture.
    Key takeaways:

    • An actionable, TOGAF® based approach focused on practical application
    • The Enterprise Architecture Implementation Wheel: a practical framework for putting architecture into action
    • How the Implementation Wheel can be augmented by AI, with a hands on example of AI developing architecture
    • A pragmatic lens for experienced architects to reassess and strengthen existing practices

    About Eric
Eric Jager is the author of Getting Started with Enterprise Architecture and Mastering the TOGAF® Standard. He is a Certified Master Architect, TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner and ArchiMate® Practitioner, with nearly 20 years of experience practicing Enterprise Architecture in organizations ranging from government agencies to healthcare institutions. He developed the Enterprise Architecture Implementation Wheel, is a guest lecturer of architecture at Eindhoven University of Technology and speaks regularly at conferences, focusing on the practical and pragmatic application of Enterprise Architecture.

TALK 2: The Evolution of AI: From Completions to Agents by Ádám Horváth (Hungary)
    https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamhorvathhu/
In just a few years, AI has moved from simple text completion to chat assistants, tool use and autonomous agents that plan, act and collaborate. Ádám walks through this evolution step by step, explains what changed at each stage and why it matters, and shows what agentic AI means in practice for how organisations design systems and how architects shape them.
    Key takeaways:

    • How AI evolved from completions to chat, tool use and agents
    • What makes an AI agent different from a model or an assistant
    • Where agents fit in today's enterprise landscape
    • What the shift to agentic AI means for the role of the architect

    About Ádám
Ádám Horváth is Head of AI at Bdat., where he leads the company's AI initiatives and helps organisations turn AI capabilities into working solutions.
