Details
Come learn how you can use your technical and design skills to improve the local community! CityCamp Raleigh (http://citycampral.org/) is three days of open sourced talks, workshops, and hands-on problem solving, where developers and designers re-imagine the way the web, applications, technology, and participation will shape the future of the city.
This year's CityCamp Raleigh is just around the corner (http://citycampral.org/get-involved/) (June 1-3, 2012), and we were lucky enough to get some of the core team members to come talk to us about their efforts and how they've paid off since the first CityCamp Raleigh (Open Source City initiative, City Council Technology Committee).
Panelists will include:
Bonner Gaylord - CityCamp team member and Raleigh City Council member Jason Hibbets - CityCamp Planning Committee co-chair and Chair of South West CAC Scott Reston - CityCamp team member and Webmaster and Triangle Wiki Planning Team member Reid Serozi - CityCamp team member, Lead organizer for Triangle Wiki, and Co-Chair of Mordecai CAC Jonathan Minter - CityCamp team member and Raleigh's CTO http://hesketh.com in Raleigh is graciously hosting us this time, and Caktus (http://www.caktusgroup.com/) is providing yummy pizzas.
Come learn how you can put your skills to good use and give back to the community! And afterwards, come join us for drinks at Tyler's Tap Room (http://www.tylerstaproom.com/locations/raleigh/) at Seaboard Station, just a few blocks away.
Important note about directions: While the address is technically Haynes Street, the parking lot and entrance are around the corner at the intersection of Halifax & Cedar. Come in through Door A. Directions to the Pilot Mill building (http://hesketh.com/about-us/contact-us/directions)
