### Roadside Rescue Cleanup Instructions
Join us for a meaningful morning of environmental stewardship! Below are the details and instructions for this Saturday's road cleanup event, sponsored by Bon Air Rotary, where we’ll take action to keep microplastics out of the James River and Chesapeake Bay.
#### Event Details
- When: Saturday, Arrive by 8:45 AM
- Where: Bon Air Community Association Parking Lot: 8725 Quaker Ln, Richmond, VA 23235
- Start Time: 9 AM
- Purpose: Removing roadside trash along Old Bon Air Road to prevent it from breaking down into microplastics and polluting feeder streams to the James River and eventually the Chesapeake Bay.
#### What to Expect
- Check-In at 8:45 AM
Arrive on time to distribute safety vests, grabbers, and trash bags. We’ll also take a group photo before heading out.
- Clean-Up Area
The cleanup will take place along Old Bon Air Road, a scenic but environmentally critical area that directly impacts the health of nearby streams and rivers.
- Safety First
Wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves if you have them, and be prepared for some light physical activity. Keep an eye out for traffic, and we’ll provide a full safety briefing before starting.
#### Conservation and Beyond with Bon Air Rotary
This cleanup is part of Bon Air Rotary’s commitment to conservation and regenerative practices. The work we do today complements our broader mission of creating sustainable, thriving communities. #### How You Can Help
We need as many hands as possible! RSVP to confirm your availability and help us make a bigger impact. Feel free to invite friends or family who care about protecting our waterways.
#### Why This Matters
Each piece of trash we remove is one less opportunity for microplastics to infiltrate the James River, impacting ecosystems and the health of Chesapeake Bay communities. Together, we can be part of the solution.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! Thank you for helping us protect our rivers and build a more sustainable future.
