Practice and enhance your presentation, communication, leadership and public speaking skills - all in a supportive and interesting environment! Wild Oats Toastmasters Club provides a structured program for developing communication and leadership skills and a forum for improving those skills.

Wild Oats is one of the many clubs of Toastmasters International around the world, and uses their course materials to teach public speaking and leadership. New members start with an introductory 10 project speeches, then embark on up to 70 specialty speeches that focus on different skills from Technical presentations to Professional Speaking. Leadership skills are learned and practiced in all Toastmasters activities.

The meeting format consist of short impromptu speaking, longer rehearsed speeches, and constructive advice and feedback, along time for catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Meeting sizes are generally 12-20 people.

The club meets every Monday, except for holidays. Summer meetings are on a less frequent basis. Guests are always most welcome, so if you would like to come along to see for yourself or bring your friends, please let us know, or just stop in! There is no charge for guests. You can access our meeting by ringing the buzzer to room 104.
