About the Site:
In 2017 & 2018, PSPS worked in an area of Acadia forest near Chancellor Blvd along Salish Trail to remove invasive plants and plant native plants. We will be returning to this previously restored area of Acadia forest to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry that has reinvaded the site
Please RSVP to attend.
Meet-up location info: Meet at the Salish Trail head at the intersection of Chancellor Boulevard and Hamber Road (Next to a metal cache box) at 12:30pm. We will then walk to the work site, 60 meters South along Salish Trail.
The #84 UBC and #44 UBC bus stops nearby. There is a bike rack on site.
If you are coming by vehicle, we have a limited number of parking passes to park in the 1500 block of Acadia Road on the west side of the street (North of Chancellor Blvd). We also have permission from University Chapel to use their parking lot (along the hedge), a 10 minute walk to the site. Please first obtain a “parking permit” from the event lead.
There is a porta potty a 5 min walk away at Acadia and Wycliffe Rd.
*If it is windy we will have to cancel this event as there are some hazard trees on site. The morning of the event, Please check this page for updates*
