This group is for all people who have been trained in or introduced to Reiki who are looking to continue to learn and grow through this incredible practice. We come together to share healing, support, and growth.
If you are new to Reiki, join us and and learn how you can become a channel for this amazing, life changing healing energy. If you are already a practitioner or teacher, join us as we build community, share light with each other, and support those newer to the practice.

Interested in joining in our Reiki Shares and outreach events, but not yet initiated into Reiki? After this class, you will be able to channel Reiki life force energy to enhance the body's own healing mechanisms and improve quality of life on physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual levels.
This two-day course can be taken either in person, or remotely via Zoom. Regardless of your location, attendance both days is required for successful completion of the course.
Day 1: Saturday, Oct. 25, 9a-3p.
Day 2: Sunday, Oct. 26, 9a-3p.Attendees will learn the history, philosophy and protocols of working with Reiki, and be initiated* into this incredible energy. Western and Eastern philosophies and techniques will be explored, so students have a broad base of information, and can choose what resonates best with them.
Reiki is being incorporated into hospital treatment plans across the country as medical and non-medical personnel have come to recognize its ability to reduce stress and expedite healing. Additionally, thanks to modern technology, scientific data now corroborates mountains of anecdotal evidence.

Take your Reiki practice deeper. Many progress along this path as a means of growth and self-healing. That said, upon successful completion of this two-day class, the student is qualified to be a professional Reiki practitioner. Another placement (formerly attunement)* will increase the flow of energy and students will learn sacred Reiki symbols to enhance all facets of their work. We will cover new healing techniques and protocols for distant and surrogate transmission of Reiki. Western and Eastern philosophies and techniques will be explored, so students have a broad base of information, and can choose what resonates best with them. If attendees wish, we will also go over practical, business-building strategies.
This class can be taken after successful completion of Reiki Level 1, following the 21 day self-cleanse. Learn more about the different levels of Reiki classes here.
For your convenience (and thanks to modern technology), this course is being presented as a two-part series that can be taken either in person, or remotely via Zoom. Regardless of your location, attendance both days are required for successful completion of the course.

You may attend in person or via Zoom. The paired practice is distant Reiki, so it’s perfect for remote learning. Imagine your first distant Reiki session exchanging Reiki with someone from out of state!

Most find online registration convenient, but if you wish to register by phone, call 773.771.3404 with your payment information handy. Should you need to cancel up to two weeks prior to class, refunds will be given by crediting your form of payment. Less than two weeks prior to class, monetary refunds will not be given, rather attendance in a subsequent class will be offered.
About the Instructor:
Heather McCutcheon, founder and executive director of the Reiki Brigade, is a Reiki practitioner and instructor, licensed massage therapist, and author. She and more than 20 volunteers conduct outreach events to introduce the benefits of Reiki via presentations and one-on-one demonstrations. Since 2011 they have offered nearly 8,000, ten-minute Reiki sessions to Chicago police officers, homeless veterans, medical students and faculty, incarcerated individuals, survivors of domestic violence, and attendees of trade shows and corporate wellness events.Heather has written a book about her path from skeptic to Reiki activist, and had articles featured in numerous trade publications, and been both a speaker and co-host of the Reiki Rays Global Healing Summit. She has also received Distinguished Service and Humanitarian awards from the Illinois Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association for her work with veterans and raising awareness of sex trafficking under the guise of massage therapy within the massage industry.
