Wyrd Witch (Portland)
Details
Wyrd Witch is an ongoing support circle for women and femme-identifying people who feel called to begin or deepen their relationship with Witchcraft.
Meeting on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, this intimate gathering offers a space to explore, share, ask questions, experiment, and practice alongside other magical sisters. The intention of this circle is to create a supportive container where each participant can express their unique gifts while cultivating meaningful, authentic personal practices—allowing their magic to flourish and weave naturally into everyday life.
Each gathering begins with an “Emptying of the Baskets”—a time for participants to share what has been present in their emotional, spiritual, and mental landscapes. Through this practice we witness one another and learn how to offer support, encouragement, comfort, and accountability within the circle.
From there, we will explore a magical topic together through discussion, teaching, hands-on practice, and/or ritual.
Together we will explore practices such as:
• Crafting personal and group rituals
• Spellwork and enchanting
• Grounding, clearing, and energetic protection
• Manifestation and visioning
• Altar creation and tending
• Divination and scrying
• Working with the elements
• Connecting with guides and ancestors
• Honoring seasonal cycles and the Wheel of the Year
• Approaching and working with deities
• Embodiment practices
• Deepening relationships with plant, animal, and nature spirits
…and much more.
Wyrd Witch is a space for curiosity, connection, magical exploration, and sisterhood—where each participant is invited to grow their practice in a way that feels authentic, empowered, and deeply their own.
About Your Host: Ida is an American-born practitioner of Nordic Folk Magic and shamanic traditions. As a seasoned Witch, her work is deeply rooted in nature-based spirituality, somatic embodiment, animism, ancestor veneration, Nordic paganism, and Scandinavian folk practices. Her ancestral lineage traces back to Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine and Poland.
While Ida’s personal path leans strongly toward her Norse heritage, she is especially passionate about helping others reconnect with their own unique ancestral lineages and traditional practices. She believes that profound wisdom lives within our bone memory, as well as within the folk medicines and sacred traditions once carried and trusted by our great-grandmothers.
One of Ida’s greatest callings is to inspire women to remember their roots, reclaim ancestral wisdom, and embody their most authentic, Wyrd Witch selves. Through her work, she encourages others to cultivate a living relationship with their heritage, the natural world, and the magic woven through everyday life.

Attendance, Cancellation, & Punctuality Agreement:
******************************************
I intentionally keep these gatherings intimate for the sake of the work we do together. You MUST cancel your "attending RSVP" no later than 48 hours in advance. This is a popular event and if you cancel last minute, you block another woman's opportunity to attend. I also ask that you respect everyone's time and be punctual. We'll start right at 7pm and the door will be locked by 7:15pm. Please be mindful and honor these agreements.
