A snuggling party? What’s that? It’s a forum where participants can experience loving, affectionate, consensual touch within a safe container in which choice is paramount. It is a space to enjoy loving touch without engaging sexually and help shift the cultural paradigm around touch to one in which touch can feel safe and be enjoyed for its own sake. It is an opportunity to learn to more clearly communicate one’s own boundaries while becoming more sensitive to the boundaries of others. In creating a loving and safe container, we offer opportunities to revel in human closeness without expectations or escalation.

Nobody is expected to engage in any touch at this event and even if a form of touch is mutually agreed to, any participant may assert they have had enough at any time. If you come to this event and say no to every request for touch, that is ok. In fact people have come to events of this type to practice saying no. Say yes only to the touch you want.

It’s our perspective that in our culture, we have been conditioned to see touch as a means to an end. Some have been conditioned to use touch to progress towards sex and others focus on preventing it from escalating. For both, it is difficult to be present and enjoy touch for its own sake. Worse, people may end up doing things they don’t really want to do. Many forgo experiencing touch they would enjoy because they think they may be expected to experience touch they don't want. We see this as tragic since touch is such an essential human need.

Donations to cover costs and for the service we provide are requested. Parties of this type typically cost between $20 and $50. Our primary motivation is to contribute to our community and help shift the paradigm around touch, so we do not expect the higher end of this range, unless doing so would enrich your life. Please consider contributing at least $15 to $20.

Please bring a ready to serve vegan dish to share (plant sourced foods only-no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, or any other animal products) and your own reusable plate, bowl, eating utensils and serving utensils (to create ease for the hostess and to prevent paper and plastic waste). In order to ensure we have enough food, and to meet other participants' need for fairness, please bring a ready to serve dish (at least 8-10 servings). Please make it a prepared dish (not chips or a bag of apples etc.) Raw food that is cut up and ready to serve works well. Home made food or store bought food is fine. If store bought, please check the labels / ingredient list to ensure there are no animal products. Organic, chemical free, GMO free foods are encouraged. Both cooked and raw vegan food are welcome. You are invited to mark your dish raw if every ingredient in your dish is 100% raw (pasteurized foods, commercially canned and most jarred food are not raw).

Please also bring an ingredient list to help those of us with allergies or better yet, a complete recipe.

Doors will open at 5:30PM. We will hang out and feast together until 7PM. At 7PM we go over the ground rules and engage in some exercises together that help create a safe and connected container. For this reason, it is essential to arrive by 7pm (earlier if you would like to eat). Nobody will be allowed in after we start creating the container. Please call prior to 7PM if you are running a few minutes late and we may wait for you (see contact info below). We will close out the snuggling portion of the evening at 10:30PM with one last connection ritual. Attendees are welcome to continue to hang out and socialize until 12AM.

To support others in being safe and healthy, please only attend if you do not have symptoms of any contagious illness. We want all participants to be as comfortable as possible, so please arrive smelling fresh without added aromas (perfumes, aftershave, scented soaps, essential oils, smoky breath, etc.). Please brush your teeth and shower if necessary. Please be in a state of mind in which you can be present. No alcohol. We recommend comfortable clothes such as sweat pants, leggings, t-shirts, or pajamas.

To help ensure we have enough comfortable material to sit or lie on, please bring any clean blankets or pillows you are comfortable sharing. You are welcome to bring any blankets or pillows for your own exclusive use as well.

Please attend if you are at least 18 years old. Please help spread the word about the event by inviting friends.

The event will take place in West LA (a little north of Westwood). Please disregard the address shown on Meetup. The address will be provided to those who RSVP.

Please RSVP no later than 9PM on May 2nd. To RSVP and get the address, call or text:

Vanessa (818-38three-599eight),
Annie (310-89two-9six17),
Dave (310-4two8-8three80), or
Lisa: (215-6two0-2one3zero).

In case you want to call or text once the event has started or just prior, please keep in mind that reception is spotty in the area and that we may be distracted. If you don't reach one of us, please try the others. Depending on your carrier, you may need to leave the neighborhood to get cell reception.

We anticipate this will be a sweet, safe, love filled experience for all of us. Looking forward to connecting!
