Mount Dana Summit Trail

This will be an adventure hike! 3,090ft climb over 2.7 miles up. Dana is 13,040ft high! Total hike is 5.3 miles. This is not a conventional trail, more of a safe class 2 scramble. I will be going slow at the top.

We can meet in Reno and carpool/caravan. This trip is on the eastern edge of Yosemite National Park and has roughly a 3 hour drive to the trailhead. I would plan to be gone all day. Do not have something to get back for that evening. This sort of hike requires about 4 liters of water and may have some people turn back. I will check the weather and change the date if thunderstorms are in the forecast. Even if they are not, they can appear out of nowhere up there. We may have to bail due to a storm. If so, we will pivot and still have fun in the eastern Sierra! (I personally think just going up Tioga Pass is worth the drive down there.)
