The makers of Viticulture, Stonemaier Games, would like to sponsor a tournament and I thought why not try to find the best wine to go with a Wine making game!
We will play 2 games with 6 players each game then the top 3 winners from those games will play a game to determine the winner!
Stonemaier Games would like people that are new to the game to participate so if you have never played Viticulture please consider signing up for the tournament. Of course if you have played the game with us a few times you are more than welcome to participate. If you have a favorite wine you would like to share please bring it along!
The game is fairly easy to learn and I will be teaching new players how to play. So don't feel like you don't want to come because you don't know the game.
There will be a prize for the winner. Not sure what that is yet but Stonemaier Games will provide a prize once we have the game scheduled and 12 people attending.
Because this is a tournament please do not sign up unless you are very sure you will attend. Also, because there will be wine I want to make it clear that you have to be legal age to drink. Thanks!
About the game:
Old-world Tuscany awaits your winemaking skill and strategic cunning. You’ll plant vines, harvest grapes, age wines, and fill merchant orders to create the greatest winery in Italy!
2-6 players ● ~45-90 minutes
You find yourself in rustic, pre-modern Tuscany, where you’ve inherited a meager vineyard. You own a few plots of land, an old crush pad, a tiny cellar, 3 workers…and the dream of owning the best winery in Italy.
Your job is to allocate your workers and helpful visitors to complete various tasks throughout the year. Each season is different on a vineyard, so the workers have different tasks they can take care of in the summer and winter. There’s competition over those tasks, and often the first worker to arrive at each one has an advantage over the rest.
Using those workers and visitors, you can expand your vineyard by building structures, planting vines, and filling wine orders as you work towards the goal of owning the most successful winery in Tuscany.
