So Carmen Winn has asked that I do a presentation on paddling history and other subjects here in the Reno area. The event will be at the Reno Public Market at 148 West Street in the "Back Room". I will be a chance to meet other local paddlers from 6-7pm then some guy named Charles Albright will do most likely slide and video talk.
Carmen's meetings will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Reno Public Market. She hopes to get her group which is named Reno Whitewater Club very involved in our sport. They will have a web site at renowhitewaterclub@gmail.com Her hope for our area is to assist with Bi- weekly Roll Sessions at our local Northwest Pool. She also wishes to teach paddling classes, river rescue classes, and lead trips for local paddlers and rafters.
So I hope that you locals might wish to attend what will be monthly meeting on various topics. Come on out and share a beer and enjoy the evening. You can welcome Carmen to our water world
