So with the current rain up in the Sierras there will be plenty of water for a fun winter paddle from Crystal Peak Park to the Sierra Street Bridge. Meeting at 10 am at Barbara Bennett Park at 10 am for shuttle. WE will then drive to Crystal Peak Park in Verdi and put in and paddle thru the WW Park to see what the new feature and bridges have to offer. We will take out at Sierra Street Bridge and leave the boats there and go get our shuttle cars and load up at the Island Street area.
Obviously we must dress for winter paddling conditions. Rescue gear requested for each paddler. Obviously the river will be up by tomorrow morning with semi high flows and cold water. It should be a fun trip down the Truckee with memories of a river with real flows. There are a few challenging drops near Mogul. Class 3 skills a must.
