Mark Wellman Day at the Sparks Marins on May 31st Memorial Day

So for about 40 years now I have assisted disabled folks with being able to paddle. Of late it is called Mark Wellman Adventure Day sponsored by the Sparks Rec Dept at the Sparks Marina on May 31st. Mark always brings a climbing wall and others bring bikes and such to the clients. I always bring many double kayaks and singles folk the folks. I need help loading and unloading and reloading and placing the boats back at my house. I also need folks to assist with cleaning boats, fitting PFD's and paddles as well as safety on the water. For this year there has been a "Monkey Wrench " thrown into the event I usually have about 15-20 volunteers each year BUT Sparks now REQUIRES that all volunteers must fill out forms with Sparks Rec then go to City Hall and get paperwork for FINGERPRINTS at Sparks PD. Supposedly the prints are FREE for event volunteers but is still makes it very hard for me to get help. But IF you wish to still help I have some Rec forms here and can get more. I can also try to assist with the Forms at City Hall but they have waits for fingerprints. Contact me if you can help at 775-453-5403 C .
