What we’re about

This group is for those interested in deepening a sense of connection to nature and self, through therapeutic outdoor group experiences, guided by an ecopsychologist.

“I believe the world is incomprehensibly beautiful - an endless prospect of magic and wonder.”
— Ansel Adams

Events will focus on getting out of the mind and into the body; participants will be guided to feel, experience, and bond with their surroundings. All Meetups will include ecotherapeutic activities, exercises, or practices to build relationship with the natural world.

Locations and degree of difficulty will vary -- from town to wilderness; from mindful walking on flat terrain, to challenging mountain hikes and overnights -- and so event descriptions will always detail what to expect and what to bring. Being appropriately dressed for weather conditions is always a must.

“You are not too old
and it is not too late
to dive into your increasing depths
where life calmly gives out
its own secret.”
— Rilke

In creating each experience, I draw from my training as an ecopsychologist, my years working as a trip leader/hiking guide, and my studies in nature connection.

I believe we are wanted and needed upon this Earth, and that a more beautiful and embodied experience of our lives awaits us, each and every time we have experiences of wonder and awe in nature. I look forward to sharing moments of connection with you!

“Matter in the wrong place is dirt. People get dirty through too much civilization. Whenever we touch nature, we get clean.”
— CG Jung

Please note: these Nature Therapy Experiences are grounded in nature-based, art-based, and movement-based therapeutic processes. I approach Nature as healer, and also support you in exploring the healer within. Through connecting in nature, with each other, we strengthen our mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. These experiences are offered in support of collective community resilience. These experiences are *not* the same as, or a substitute for, clinical mental health therapy.
