Tamarack Peak Loop Hike

Discover this 6+-mile loop trail near Reno, Nevada. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 hours to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

Meet at the Mt. Rose Summit Parking lot at 9:00 AM.

For those of you who might be interested in car pooling up to the meadows, we'll meet at 8:30 between the Starbucks and the Shell station in the Raley's shopping center on the Mt Rose Hwy (Cross street is Wedge Parkway). If you are not interested in carpooling, show up at the Starbucks and we can caravan up the hill.

Bring plenty of water and something for lunch and snacks .

Dogs need to be on a leash and picked up after. If the dog can demonstrate that it is under total voice control of the owner, then the leash can be removed at the discretion of the trip Organizer.
