Dollar Creek Path, Lakeview Ridge, Cedar Flat, and Shale Loop

Details
This loop begins on the Dollar Creek Shared Use Path, which is a paved multi-use path that is often groomed in the winter for cross-country skiing. This loop takes you through the network of trails in the lower section of the park and climbs steeply onto the trails of Cedar Flats Trail, providing views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains. This hike is 6.4 miles long, with 898 elevation gain.
Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
For those of you who might be interested in car pooling up to the trailhead, we'll meet at 8:00 in between the IHOP and Instant Smog on North McCarran Blvd (take Sierra Highlands Dr) . If you are not interested in carpooling, show up at the IHOP and we can caravan to the trailhead. We’ll depart from the IHOP at 8:05
