Chickadee Ridge and Beyond

At first I thought to go long snowshoe hike, but I'm not sure if everyone tried their snowshoes this season yet. So let's start.
This 4 miles hike 760 ft elevation gain . The last part of the trail with the most beautifull views is very steep.
This trail is not just to Chickadee Ridge but extended to next hill, which is not for beginners!
Please assess your level of fitness before you RSVP.
Every mile of snowshoe is equal to two miles of hike.
If you have a heart or breathing problems pls do NOT reserve.

We will meet for car pooling between the Starbucks and the Shell station in the Raley's shopping center on the Mt Rose Hwy (Cross street is Wedge Parkway) at 10am.
If you are not interested in carpooling, show up at the Starbucks and we will caravan up the hill.

Please!!!! Check the status of the event before it starts!!! If strong wind or ice on road the event going to be canceled.
If weather will stay sunny (so far it's promising) , it will be beatutiful hike with great view of Lake Tahoe.
Because of changeable weather.. please dress appropriately and in layers.
Bring snowshoes, hiking poles, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves/mittens, water, something to snack on and don't forget BIRD SEED or not salted crushed nuts for birds :).
