There is a dirt road just past the campgrounds but it is well maintained and most vehicles will do fine. Once to the parking lot on the google link, follow the trail south less than 1/4 mile and you will see an opening to the beach on your right.

Everybody loves a beach party! Bring your friends, meet new friends, and catch up with regulars at our annual beach party at Frenchman Lake! 

Bring non-motorized watercraft to share, I will be bringing 2 kayaks, people tend to bring paddle boards or inflatables. Also bring shade, enough food, water and Blue gecko sunblock (eco friendly) for yourself. If you choose to drink alcohol please do so responsibly and make plans for transportation back to Reno. 

Someone had asked why we are going to somewhere so remote, and the answer is: crowds. We use to go to Sand Harbor every year. But with the long lines of cars, being turned away at the parking lot, no walk ins, spotty boat ramp access, and tons of people packed on top of each other... this scenic drive to a secluded beach is actually much easier and sustainable. We have met at this location a few times, its fairly reliable, clean, and beautiful.
