Dancing in the Streets

Come join us for this fun, FREE event. We went last year and had a great time. There's music, dancing, food & drink trucks, axe throwing, vendor booths and much more. Wear your walking shoes, bring your sunscreen and prepare to have fun. We'll meet near Churrasco Brazilian Steakhouse and check out the first stage in the Living Stones Church parking lot. (There is parking nearby at the Court Street free parking lot.) Note that South Virginia Street will be closed from Liberty to Regency Way. The event runs 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm. This year’s stages include: Rock/ Funk, Crazy 80s, 90s/2000s, Afrobeats, EDM/ Dance, Jazz, Indie Rock, Latino and Country. Explore them all or find your favorite and stay awhile, the beat never stops in MidTown. There are also food and drink trucks and activities like mechanical bull riding, salsa dance lessons and performances to watch. From handmade goods and local art to delicious eats and craft drinks, Dancing in the Streets is packed with over 100 vendors bringing the best of Reno to the streets. Whether you’re craving street tacos, cold brews, handmade jewelry, or unique vintage finds, the MidTown Market has something for everyone. Come hungry, come curious, and support the makers, bakers, and creators that keep MidTown vibrant. Getting There & Parking: South Virginia Street is closed from Liberty to Regency Way. RTC will be offering free rides to and from the event on their Virginia Rapid Transit Line. Free rides are from 3 pm to 12 am. Parking is at: * Park Lane Theaters Parking Lot (2040 Century Way) * Retail Parking Garage at RED (corner of Red Drive & Element Lane) * Street parking where available Truckee Meadow Bike Alliance will also be offering free bike valet at the Midtown Roundabout.
