"Celebrate Woman’s History Month with three shows at the downtown Riverside Gallery
(1)Leah Andrews:
Snapshot of the Sierras
“I have always been fascinated by how skillful use of color can evoke feeling, mood, and memory. I draw inspiration from beautiful places, diverse cultures, and the unique textures they offer. Capturing that feeling is crucial when I gather references—what I call my "memories"—for my work. I layer translucent hues that shift with the changing light throughout the day, inviting viewers to experience that realism. I work until I feel immersed in each piece, recreating the sensation of being there. My style leans toward realism, while intentionally preserving the painterly quality of each work.”
(2) Braighlee Rainey
Stronger Together
Harmonia Feminae explores the intersection of individual women and identity and collective strength. Developed over the last two years, this series presents these figures as both unique archetypes and essential colors of a spectrum. While each voice is powerful on its own, the completion of all ten works represents a full "harmony". This is a visual chorus where the strength of the many creates the one. Featured here is the first half of this ongoing collection.
(3) Carol Foldvary-Anderson
Creating Beauty - Inspiring Joy!”
Inspiring quotes written in Calligraphy and beautifully photographed, on navigating life from the wisdom of exceptional Women.
Truth seekers, from different cultures and eras. Their words and actions defined their life trials, viewpoints, and existence.
Their life and words have inspired Women to achieve greatness themselves.
