Tamarack Peak - South Ridge - Snowshoe

Starting from the Mt. Rose summit parking lot this very scenic intermediate aerobic ascent of Tamarack Peak is approximately 3.5 mi round-trip with 950' of gain and provides hikers with great summit views of Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Meadows, Mt. Rose and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

• What to bring
Snowshoes & ski poles, dress for winter conditions. Water, and a snack.

Will arrange car-pools from Beer NV or you can meet at the Mt. Rose summit parking lot. If meeting at the summit, please let me know. Also, everyone will need to sign off on the RTA Liability Waiver.

This is a good conditioning event if you are joining us on Mt. Shasta the following week.
