RIDE THE REZ - MEMBERS ONLY - Mountain/Gravel Bikes Only
Details
The route has changed due to trail conditions.
DUE TO REROUTE, ADDING ADDITIONAL SECTION OF TPT:
Since the ride is only about 16 miles, after we finish the Rez section, we will be adding another section of trail for anyone interested. We will do the Mustang to USA Parkway and back, which adds 20 miles. Again, it is an out and back route. If completed, your total will be 26 miles.

First ride will be starting at Nixon and ride to the fish hatchery, which is about 8 miles, where we will stop and do a little exploring. We then will turn around so it is an out and back ride.
For anyone interested in the second ride, we will then drive to Mustang Exit and park at the trail head off the frontage road. When you get off I80 Exit, follow frontage road and right before you cross the River, there is a trailhead. It is a 10 mile out and 10 back.
The trail beyond the hatchery is overgrown and has more goat heads than would humanely seem possible!
These are not beginners rides. There is sand, hills, single track. Have some miles under your belt.
Here is a link to the trail section description on the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail website which includes PDFs, Google Maps, RideWithGPS and GPX files:

The ride is on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation and a day use permit is required. Permits are $22 per vehicle. Carpooling is recommended. Permits are only available at pyramidlake.us/permits.

For everyone's safety, we do not allow ear buds, headphones, boom boxes, or Class 2 E-Bikes (a bicycle with a motor that engages without pedaling).
Ride Level: Please confirm your ability to do this ride. Review the map/route sheet (if provided) and the ride rating as stated in the Ride Rating Sheet and/on the Ride Etiquette Sheet (https://www.pedalers.org/rides-and-events).
