This is an options ride.

A vanilla Ride to Franktown road and back can be done in about 38 miles and 1500 feet of climbing. A Franktown and a bit more that includes the detour into horse country (Andrews Lane), Western Skies and such will be about 42 miles. The full "Franktown and a bit more" here includes a loop up into the Lakeview Neighborhood will be about 49 miles and 2245 feet of climbing. An even more intensive climbing ride would include a run up Timberline and a return up Combs Canyon.

Here we post the Franktown and a bit more which includes the Andrews Lane loop, Western Skies, and the Lakeview loop. Participants are welcome to do the less complete rides according to taste.

The ride begins at RC Willey's and travels down Veterans and then Old 395 to Franktown Road. After completing Franktown Road we continue down Old 395 to Hobart Road and Climb up County Line Road and continue up Numaga Pass Road. In this variation of the ride we include an extra small loop on a couple of roads at the top that we've never done including Vista Ariana Drive and Weise Road. We descend down Meadow Wood Road to Hobart again and turn up old 395. We can do Franktown Road in both directions as an alternative to staying on old 395. On the return after we finish the exhilarating descent down Washoe Hill we turn down Andrews Lane and continue on Paddlewheel and Rhodes before continuing down Old 395. We turn up just a bit of Geiger Grade to Western Skies. We do just a bit of Rio Wrangler and Finish over Steamboat Parkway.
