## It is time for the pedalers’ annual picnic at Mormon Station State Park in Genoa.🧺🌳😀
Don’t miss out! This is a family event. The club will provide drinks, hotdogs, hamburgers and condiments. Club members are asked to please bring a salad, side dish, or dessert to share. Bring cash to join in on the 50/50 raffle. You could be a winner! 💸🤑

9:00-AM start at Mormon Station State Park in Genoa
Note that the weather prediction for Saturday is for cooler weather with a high of 73 predicted for Saturday so I am backing up the start time by half an hour. Please RSVP by Thursday June 5, 2025.
The B ride and the C+ rides will start at 9:00am but the C ride will begin at 9:30am
This is a paid members event but members are welcome to bring a family member or friend. There is a non member participation fee of $5 that can be paid on the Pedalers website.

We need to purchase food so please RSVP by Thursday, June 5. You can message below which type of dish you will be bringing so others can see. If you are requesting plant based burgers/dogs or gluten free buns, please note in messages below. Arrive early enough to drop off your dish so you will be ready to ride on time. Coolers will be available.
If you aren't a club member, then now is the time to become one! You can easily join on the Pedalers.org website.

Start: Ride start times will be staggered to try and get everyone to the picnic together as possible. All Rides will begin at Mormon Station Park and will involve loops, not just out and backs.

This ride heads north on Jacks Valley Road for a short distance and does a loop around the Genoa Lakes Drive and then heads up Jacks Valley Road and does another loop around Alpine View Court and Bavarian Drive and then comes backdown Jacks Valley road to loop around Meadowlark Lane and Pioneer Trail

This ride heads south on Foothill Road and turns up Fredricksburg Road for a gentle climb we then turn up Emigrant Trail and descend to Hwy88 and a break in Woodfords. a break in Woodfords. We take Hwy 89 to Diamond Valley road and return down Fredricksburg road and Foothill.
A simple way to shorten this route is to skip the loop up Carson River road and Diamond Valley as this route does:

This ride is virtually identical to the C+ ride with the addition of a run out Hwy 89 to Turtle Rock Park and the resulting nice descent back to Diamond Valley Road.
NOTE: Check posting 2 hours before ride time for weather-related and other changes. Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order. Please no ear buds or headphones. Be prepared with a spare tube and pump. Class 2 E-Bikes are not permitted.
