Introduction to Ride Leading

This club meeting gathers at 5:30pm to eat or drink at Skipolini's in the back room but the presentation will start at 6:15 or so.

One of our major club objectives for the 2026 riding season is to increase the variety and number of club rides to meet the needs of all levels of riders. To achieve this, we are looking to train more members to lead rides.

Our March club meeting is the first of two sessions designed to provide you with the information needed to successfully lead a Pedaler club ride. Our April meeting, presented by Ralph Bell, will follow with hands-on training for dealing with in-field mechanical issues.

We understand that leading a ride may feel intimidating, so our training is designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to lead a ride of your choice. Additionally, new volunteers will receive in-field mentorship so you won't be on your own for your first few rides.

This training is open to all club members, and we encourage you to attend even if you are undecided about becoming a ride leader. While the role carries responsibility, it is also highly rewarding.
