This is a ride which is quite simple, there are only two turns in the entire ride and one U-turn. This is a ride we do either in the early spring or fall as it can be hot in the summer and this ride does not have a source of water out near the turn around point. Two water bottles or a camelback will do it. There is a very logical shorter version of about 30 miles where you simply turn around once we get to the high point of the ride at mile 15.

We will meet near the skate park and use the entrance near the traffic circle at the intersection of Silver Lake Road and Sky Vista Parkway

This road is two lane with a bike lane that comes and goes and is rolling but climbs over 15 miles from a starting elevation of 5000 feet to 5850 feet elevation. The road then has a long descent with a couple of minor upticks to 4500 feet over 10 miles. The return is the same with a long uphill coming back that amounts to 1300 feet over 10 miles. Traffic is not real high but is higher near the beginning as the far end has few residents.

A half ride that rides out to the peak at mile 15 makes a nice ride of about 30 miles.
