Summer Coffee House Rides - La Victoria
Details
About 9 miles C+ rating
8:00 AM
Start: La Victoria Coffee
Ride Leader: Tim Sullivan
Description: The Coffee House Ride this Wednesday will be an early start ride from La Victoria Coffee. If you did the Desert Sun Bagel ride, we rode past the tiny UNR edition of this relatively new coffee house. We will go from the main/first location near the Raley's on Robb Drive. Great coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches and other goodies, outside and inside seating. Even if you consider 99 degrees a cooling trend, we will still be starting early because it will warm up quickly.
Don't let the short distance fool you, this is a pretty hilly ride, hence the C+ rating. We will visit a series of west Reno parks and trails, including one of the steepest trails in Reno, and one short gravel section (easily done on a road bike, nothing technical).

RIDE SERIES DESCRIPTION: The Pedaler Coffee House Rides are designed for those who want a relatively easy, social ride, with the main goal of hanging out for good pastry and espresso after the ride. Most would be rated C/C-. We will depart from a different coffee house or bakery each time. When it warms up and we can start early, we will do breakfast rides (open to real members only, and subject to sign-up deadlines!).
E-BIKE NOTE: The ride leader is unable to handle e-bike mechanical issues (battery failure, flat tires, etc). Please have a backup plan for these events. Class 2 e-bikes are not permitted as they are not covered by club insurance.
RIDE SWEEP: Most of these rides will NOT have an official "sweeper." The ride leader will aim to regroup at certain points. We do not want to lose anyone; however, please note the ride levels (C).
