A life messing around in boats! Lots of boats!!

Carmen Winn who is new to our paddling community has created the Reno Whitewater Club. They will have monthly meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The first meeting will be the 16th at 6pm at the Reno Public Market ay 148 West Street. The event will be in the "back room". From 6 till 7 is Happy Hour where you can meet other paddlers. The presentation starts at 7pm with a show about some guy named Charles Albright doing a talk about paddling history in Reno. What is in our area and maybe some slides or videos.
So Carmen wishes to get locals involved more in our chosen sport of paddling by helping teach rolling and our bi weekly roll sessions. She will also be leading paddling trips for kayaks, rafts, canoes and SUPS. It is also planned to teach river rescue classes. More info at renowhitewaterclub@gmail.com
So I hope that folks that might like to learn local history and whats nearby will attend. Great chance to meet other like minded paddlers and this could greatly benefit new and old paddlers in this area.
