Mark Wellman Adventure Day May 31st Memorial Day

So for well over 40 years I have assisted with giving folks with Disabilities the opportunity to paddle kayaks and canoes. Of late the event is called Mark Wellman Day which occurs at the Sparks Marina. Mark brings a climbing wall and there are also bikes and sometimes sailing for the clients. It is very rewarding to assist these folks with this opportunity. SO now the kinda bummer I usually load up many doubles and other boats to let folks use. It takes me two days to do this. I am assuming that by that time I would be able to paddle with my new shoulder. I also need and hopefully will still get LOTS of help with the boats and gear like PFD's and paddles. This year there is a "monkey wrench" in the process. Sparks has now required that ANYONE ASSISTING with the event MUST fill out paperwork with Sparks Recreation, go to Sparks City Hall and get paperwork and get FINGERPRINTED at the Sparks PD. Hopefully for FREE. Volunteers again MUST have this done!! So I have some Rec Forms here and can get more. This puts quite a burden on my volunteers. SO if you still wish to help me PLEASE get ahold of me and I can help you thru the process. I usually have 15-20 volunteers.
