Reno Parks and Recreation Meeting

So for those of you who use or care about the Wingfield Park White Water Park there is a meeting with the Reno Parks and Recreation Committee at the McKinley School on Riverside Drive and at Keystone Ave on Tuesday the 16th of June at 6 pm. The Park designer and others will be there to discuss options for enhancing the park. Its age, floods, and recent work on the Arlington Street Bridge Project have had an effect on the various features in the river. It is hoped that there will be a discussion with regards as to how the park could benefit from efforts to enhance safety, create better changes to the park to make the drops at #2, #3, #4 and #5 on the north channel be more useable and friendly to paddlers and river users. Show up early, it may be crowded and more concerned paddlers would help with getting changes perhaps approved and incorporated to enhance the park.
