Come see the 1.21.1 server!

Details

The server has been upgraded to 1.21.1!

Point your Minecraft Java client to "simbey.com" and come check out the updated server!

This is the same world that started out on 1.7.4, and there are no plans to ever reset. Anything you build is guaranteed to last indefinitely!

If you're concerned about resource depletion, don't worry. The server has low traffic, and the world is in nearly pristine condition!

While survival servers can be known to be somewhat hostile, please refrain from being overly destructive while raiding bases. There are quite a few abandoned structures in this world; feel free to move in and improve the existing structures. However, please do not destroy structures just for the sake of being destructive. This will get you banned.

Your best strategy for being successful is to simply go out and build something new in an uninhabited area (there are plenty). And if you should come across a village, please do not kill the villagers. They're useful! (That said, villages from 1.13 and before need to be retrofitted with workstations to be useful.)

The four quadrants surrounding the origin (-512,-512 to 511,511) can be modified while you play, but changes do not persist over time. Whenever the host server restarts (daily restart, maintenance, etc.), the four region files surrounding the origin are restored. Therefore, while you can chop some trees or mine some blocks for quick materials, you should only build permanent structures more than 512 blocks away from the origin. Ideally, you should go out at least 1000 blocks to build.

With all of that out of the way, I hope to see you there! Let's build some amazing things and create a local Minecraft community!
