Reproducibility Salon: Getting Science Right First Time

We've all followed scientific community discussion about the desirability of efforts to reproduce research: but it is hard work in practice for scientists to verify or refute the research of noncooperating, fraudulent or sloppy colleagues.

What changes would incentivize discovery claimants getting their work right first time, rather than staking a fast claim and moving on in the knowledge that it will take several years for others to show they're wrong?
