Reproducibility Salon - save the date -- discussing attacks on science
Details
Let's meet again on Monday February 2, 2026 at 7pm!
Topic for the night: examples of fabricated allegations about science that turns out to be right!
Is this a big problem or is it a myth, invented by unreliable researchers to cast shade on critics?
Are there incentives (other than political) to falsely accuse someone else?
Could false allegations become a bigger problem in the future?
Please come with examples!
We'll most likely meet again at the house at 7 Kingston Street in Somerville, MA.
I've also been considering (again) a bar or discussion space in Davis Sq. I have lots of people registered on Meetup who seem interested but slightly daunted by figuring out where the house is. Suggestions welcome, and if you register please stay tuned in case we find a venue.
