Should we replace journal articles with Tiktok?

We will meet at 7pm Monday June 1 at 7 Kingston Street, Somerville, to discuss whether to replace journal articles with videos. I'm thinking Tiktok, Jamie Oliver style replication shows, virtual reality fly through of datasets, livestreams from the lab bench -- and other real-time technologies. Much of the life and soul of scientific communication happens at conferences, in lectures, journal clubs, lab visits and meetings. This is all way more engaging than PDFs. If journals aren't guaranteeing higher quality or utility, why bother with them?
