This month we'll have two really good talks, one about Flow and the other about using NativeScript with Vue.js to create native mobile apps.

David Gomes:
Let's talk about Flow(type)

In this talk, we are going to learn about what it's like to use Flow in production. We have been doing it for over a year now and have plenty to share about our experience. We'll start by going over what it means to type your JavaScript (expect a lot of overlap between Flow's and Typescript's goals). This part will include lots of examples from our codebase. Then, I'm going to go over the painpoints that we hit with Flow. With all this in mind, in the end, we'll figure out whether adopting Flow could be a net positive for your organization.

NativeScript with Vue.js

Cross-platform, again? Yes, but *this* time is different… We will talk about NativeScript, a new tool to build cross-platform, native iOS and Android apps without web views. We get truly native UI and performance while reusing the skills and the code from web projects. We also get 100% access to native APIs via JavaScript and reuse of packages from npm, CocoaPods and Gradle. It is an open source project and backed by Progress (who owns Telerik and others).
NativeScritp can be used with plain JavaScript or with Angular or with Vue.js. Because Vue is very hot these days, we are going the use it!

The meetup will be happening at Zalando's offices, see you there! :)
