Distributed web March: IPFS and torrents!

Details

Hello Everyone and welcome to the March edition of Require('lx')!

This month we'll have two great talks:

Francisco Pereira
Title: Node, your friendly spider
Description: Programming should not be a journey of solving tutorial after tutorial. It should be about yourself, about solving actual problems. This talk will address how I got from knowing nothing about web development to developing a node spider.

João Antunes
Title: P2P apps for the web
Description: What is P2P? How is a P2P app structured? What does it allow us to do? What about shortcomings? We're going to run through a quick overview on P2P applications and finally some examples of it using libp2p and IPFS JavaScript implementations.

The meeting will be at the Farfetch offices, who will be sponsoring this month's edition.

Thank you, and see you there!
